Innovation Expo 07, the highlight event of the Innovation Festival 07, was successfully held from 14 to 18 September at HK Convention and Exhibition Centre. More than 23,000 visitors toured the pavilions and saw by themselves the innovation, technology and design achievements of over 100 exhibitors from local universities, R&D organisations, industry support organisations, technology and design enterprises, as well as technology education organisations.

The 10-week Festival, with the theme "Let's Innovate...For a New Era", will continue to reach out to the community through roadshows at Cityplaza(5-7 October) and Tuen Mun Town Plaza(12-14 October).  Some popular exhibits in the Expo will be featured at the roadshows, together with a number of DesignTech Workshops targeted at youngsters.  A Design Exhibition will be held at InnoCentre, Kowloon Tong, from 17 October to 7 November.

The governments of HKSAR and Guangdong (GD) Province are now inviting applications for funding support for R&D projects under the 2007 HK/GD Technology Co-operation Funding Scheme.

There are three categories under the scheme: Category A is for projects which are solicited, vetted and funded solely by Hong Kong while Category B is for projects which are solicited, vetted and funded solely by Guangdong. Category C is launched with a view to further enhancing technology co-operation between the two sides, and it is for projects which are jointly solicited, vetted and funded by Hong Kong and Guangdong.
