New record on enrollment for HK Student Science Project Competition 2007

153 teams from 75 secondary schools have registered for the HK Student Science Project Competition (HKSSPC) 2007 which has broken the Competition's record. 37 teams have registered for the new award for outstanding projects related to "Energy Sources and Energy Saving Design".

A Sharing Session with Advisors was organised on 10 February at HK Science Museum. The Advisors, who are all professors of universities and education institutes, offered very inspiring advice to students on their project topics, research direction and methodology.

The Initial Judging cum Exhibition will be held on 19 May. By then, 12 finalist teams (six from the invention category and six from the investigation category) will be selected to enter the Final Judging scheduled for 2 June.

The HKSSPC was first launched in 1998 to promote the interest of our youth in science and technology. The 2007 HKSSPC is coorganised by ITC, the HKFYG, EMB and HK Science Museum.
