HK R&D Centres at ITU Telecom World 2006

The Hong Kong Research and Development Centre for Logistics and Supply Chain Management Enabling Technologies (LSCM R&D Centre) and the Hong Kong Research and Development Centre for Information and Communications Technologies (ASTRI) took a part in the ITU Telecom World 2006 to meet their potential partners from all over the world.

During the e-Government Day on 7 December, Prof. C J Tan, CEO of LSCM R&D Centre gave a talk on "RFID Development and Applications in Hong Kong" , while Dr. Manuel Costa, Vice President, Planning, ASTRI presented "E-Life: ASTRI' s Role in its Implementation Roadmap" at "The Platform - Optimised!" organised by the Hong Kong, China Pavilion.

The Centre Membership of the Hong Kong R&D Centre for Logistics and Supply Chain Management Enabling Technologies (LSCM R&D Centre) is now open for application. Relevant industries or research organizations may participate in the LSCM R&D Centre in the following ways:

– Individual
– Company / Institute
– Technology / Solution Provider

Established in April 2006, the LSCM R&D Centre is targeted to foster the development of core competencies in applied R&D in logistics and supply chain related technologies and to facilitate the adoption of these technologies by industries in Hong Kong and Mainland China to enhance their competitiveness.
