Entering its second year, Innovation Festival 2006 is set to sustain public awareness, interest and support of innovation and technology in Hong Kong. With the theme of "Youth inspires...City of Innovation", the Festival this year aims particularly to inspire the interest and encourage the aspirations of our young people in innovation and technology as they will be the captains to pencil the future of Hong Kong – the City of Innovation.
Organised by the Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC) of the HKSAR Government, with The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups as the Festival Partner, the Festival runs for nearly two months from 14 October to 2 December. It features a range of exciting activities to enable our youngsters to explore and enjoy the fun of innovation and technology. These include the My Favourite Inventions for Quality Living Competition 2006, a series of roadshows, interactive DIY workshops and seminars for the public in various locations across Hong Kong, as well as the Youth Innovation Exhibition to be held at the Hong Kong Science Museum.
